Mudgee Vet Hospital - About Us

About Mudgee Vet Hospital

The Mudgee Vet Partnership was formed in 1981 when veterinarians Ian Binks, Steve Ledger and Ray Gooley, joined Peter Howe. The original location of the practice was in Mortimer Street.

In 1982 Mudgee Vet Hospital moved to its present location at 104 Market Street. This provided a central spacious location to this present date. Peter Howe left to study and teach at Sydney University in 1984. Rick White joined this Partnership in 1990 building the partnership from three to four.

In 2005 Steve Slack-Smith took the place of Rick White. Rick went onto pursue his career in cattle and sheep nutrition and management.

As the practice has grown we have expanded. Currently we have up to 8 Vets and 15 support staff.

With our branch practices at Rylstone and Gulgong we are able to provide the full range of veterinary services to our extensive local area.

The Mudgee Veternary Hospital has now has a pupose built Veternary Hospital, this builing has modern facilities and enough room for expansion in future years. This building project was completed in 2013.

In 2014 we have upgraded our Gulgong branch.
